How to get to Las Delicias, Puntarenas
From San José:
- Take a direct bus from San José to Puntarenas (usually departing from the Terminal 7-10). The journey takes approximately 2 hours.
- From Puntarenas, hire a taxi or take a local bus heading toward the Nicoya Peninsula and get off at Las Delicias.
- From San José the two airlines Costa Rica Green Airways and Sansa Airlines offer multiple daily flights from San José to Cóbano. Enjoy the private atmosphere and the friendliness of the crew, as well as the fascinating views during the 30–40-minute flight. At the Cobano Airport hire a taxi to Las Delicias, 450 meter north from the Supermario supermarket.
By Car:
- Drive west on Route 27 toward Puntarenas.
- Continue onto Route 23 and then take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera.
- After the ferry, drive on Route 160 to reach Las Delicias. The drive from San José, including the ferry, takes about 4-5 hours.
By Ferry:
- If you're already near Puntarenas, take the ferry to Paquera and then a bus or taxi to Las Delicias.
Note: The roads in some parts of the Nicoya Peninsula can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Always check the ferry schedules in advance.
